Held on the weekend of the wonderful Hua Hin Jazz Festival, it’s the perfect way to combine exquisite cuisine, fine wines, and cool jazz for a truly memorable weekend.
The six-course Jazz Festival Wine Dinner will be served in the beachfront Fireside area, ensuring that diners have a great view of the jazz performance on the beach stage. There is simply no better place to enjoy the sensational music and fine food at the Hua Hin Jazz Festival.
The gourmet Jazz Festival Wine Dinner will start with Hokkaiddo scallops and Jerusalem artichoke puree accompanied by a 2008 Chateau Despagne Bel Air Ros? AOC, Bordeaux, France.
The second dish of white asparagus with Hokkaiddo sea urchin and hollandaise sauce is perfectly matched with a 2007 Isolation Ridge Chardonnay, Frankland Estate, Western Australia. Awarded 92 points by Robert Parker, this delightful Chardonnay is creamy, dry and restrained on the palate.
The third dish on the carefully considered menu is seared wild grouper fillet with aromatic coriander nectar paired with a 2008 Sp?tburgunder Pinot Noir, Ahr, Germany.
Next, succulent slow-cooked milk-fed lamb with ratte potato puree and an apricot condiment is served with a 2007 Blason Joven Do, Bodegas O. Fournier, Spain. This exceptional wine displays strawberry flavous and a touch of black cherry, and is also offered to accompany a selection of rare affinated cheeses by Xavier David.
The memorable evening of fine dining concludes with passion fruit panacotta and mandarin sorbet paired with complex and aromatic 2006 Rigoletto “Santa Christina” IGT, Zenato, Veneto, Italy.
