Today (17 June 2010), Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s Catering Department introduced its “Eurng Luang” Brand. Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI President, and Mr. Teerapol Chotichanapibal, THAI Managing Director, Catering Department, presided over the launch of Eurng Luang Brand at THAI’s Head Office, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
Mr. Teerapol Chotichanapibal, THAI Managing Director, Catering Department, said that THAI’s Catering Department has continually developed and maintained high standards of quality, hygiene and taste for customer satisfaction. Moreover, THAI Catering has extensively expanded its presence in the food market and beverage services area such as more Puff & Pie Bakery shops, provision of outside catering services, and Puff & Pie Supreme Bakery Delight Franchises. Therefore, by introducing the Eurng Luang brand, THAI Catering will be able to increase its market potential and create new products. The Eurng Luang product has 5 categories, as follows:
Ready Made Curry Sauce: THAI Catering has revealed seven kinds of curry used in-flight meals. Currently, THAI Catering Department exports ready-made sauces to caterers at airports that THAI serves, such as Frankfurt Rhein-Main International Airport, Seoul Incheon International Airport, Osaka Kansai International Airport, Narita International Airport, Zurich Kloten Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (Athens), and Charles De Gaulle Airport (Paris), which increased the Company’s revenue by 8 million baht per year.
Salad Dressing: THAI Catering has unveiled five special salad dressings served on board, those being Thousand Island, Balsamic, French, Japanese and Thai Herbal. At present, many airlines use THAI salad dressing on board their flights, such as EVA Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Mahan Air and Turkmenistan Airlines, which increased the Company’s revenue by 1.3 million baht per year.
Frozen Bakery: THAI Catering produces 2.3 million pieces of frozen products per year and exports frozen bakery products to Gate Gourmet and Cosmo Company in Japan. This results in an increase in the Company’s revenue by 5 million baht per year.
Eurng Luang Take Home: This is a ready-to-eat meal with a menu variety that includes Thai, Chinese and international meals that come complete with salad, prepared with high food safety standards.
Eurng Luang Beverages: Theses beverages include drinking water, mixed fruit juice, orange juice and tamarind tea.
