Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), Thailand’s largest polyester company and the second largest PET company in the world, is pleased to announce that UAB Orion Global Pet, IVL’s subsidiary situated at Klaipeda, Lithuania, has been nominated as the “Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists Lithuanian Exporter 2009 Laureate.” This tremendous accolade by the country’s fellow industrialists follows closely on the heels of a gold medal conferred on the company in December, 2009, naming its PET resin, “Ramapet? N1” Product of the Year.
The General Director of UAB Orion Global Pet, Mr. O.P. Mishra said, “This outstanding recognition for the company is also another clear landmark showing the progress we have made since construction was completed in 2006. We are so proud to have been chosen for this prestigious honor. I must give credit to our team for the incredible efforts they have made to push our company to the top of the ladder in terms of brand recognition and service quality.”

About UAB Orion Global Pet
UAB Orion Global Pet is located at Klaipeda, Lithuania, a free economic zone for industrial activity with an all weather seaport. It is well connected by rail and road to Europe in the West and Russia in the East. The plant at Klaipeda has both a Continuous Polycondensation (CP) plant and a Solid State Polymerization (SSP) plant with a capacity of 216,000 tons per annum. The plant commenced its commercial operations in October 2006.
Ramapet? N1 is a general purpose, food grade, PET copolymer resin that is suitable for a wide variety of containers. The resin offers good strength characteristics like dimensional stability and mechanical properties. Suitable for carbonated water, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, oils, agrochemicals, wide mouth containers and for APET sheet/film extrusion application. It is suitable for heat set blow molding that is used for warm fill applications.
