Mitr Phol Syrup won the Best Creative Food Product of the Year for the Ready to Eat and Food Ingredient category in the Creative Food Products Contest 2010, which was held by the Department of Export Promotion, the Ministry of Commerce. The Best Creative Product of the Year is determined by the added value in the product. Criteria includes innovative and technological breakthroughs for the benefit of the Thai economy and community; ease of use and storage; safety standards and nutritional value; environmentally friendly production processes; the use of packaging that is made from proper materials that best protect the product and importantly the scent, color, flavor and taste of the product.
The product highlight that led Mitr Phol Syrup to win the Best Creative Product of the Year was that it is 100% made of natural sugar cane, without additives or preservatives. It is also easy to use with hot and cold drinks as well as in baked goods. The major ingredients of Mitr Phol Syrup are sucrose (50%), fructose (25%) and glucose (25%). Mitr Phol Syrup gives a mild sweetness and meets industry standards, with a one year life cycle. It saves time, energy and cost while reducing the amount of syrup that is not used when it has been served to customers..
