Deputy Finance Minister Man Presides over 27th Thailand National Quality Awards ceremony at which 30 ING Life Agents were honored
ING Life Thailand recently participated in the 27th annual Thailand National Quality Awards (TNQA) ceremony held at the Muang Thong Thani convention center. The event was presided over by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Man Pattanothai, who commented on the ability of the insurance business to help manage risk for Thai families, and the critical role played by agents in creating understanding about the benefits of insurance among Thai people. At this year’s awards, 30 ING Life Thailand agents were honored for their outstanding performance in 2009.
The TNQA awards are organized by the Thai Life Assurance Association to recognize the top insurance agents from each of the life insurance companies in Thailand. The criteria used for the awards are a combination of policy sales and persistency (the percentage of active policies versus those that have lapsed). The minimum criteria for a TNQA award includes sales of 30 policies with a total insured amount of over 3,600,000 baht per year for two consecutive years and persistency of over 90%.
Among the ING award recipients, 5 received both an honorary plaque and a certificate of recognition for outstanding performance. These agents achieved persistency scores of between 98.44% and 100% while demonstrating the highest standards of customer service and ethical business practices.
When asked about the secret of her success, Nararut Wonglappanich, ING Life Palangpetch Unit Manager, Petchaboon, said, “I’ve received this award for 3 consecutive years with 100% persistency because I have always tried to set a good example for the new generation of ING Life insurance agents while providing the best service to my customers. A key factor in my success has been ING Life’s good reputation and corporate image along with its wide range of products, which meet the needs of today’s customers.”
Another successful ING Life agent, Panitanan Suwannarat from Naresuan Unit, Hat Yai, said, “I think that part of my success can be attributed to my career as a healthcare provider, because people have more confidence in my honesty and sincerity. Additionally, I think that ING Life’s full support in terms of training and skills development has been very important in my development as a professional insurance agent. Actually, I entered this profession because of ING Life’s strong reputation. This event is very exciting to me as this is the second year I’ve received this award and I will try very hard to earn this award in the years ahead.”
Rajesh Sethi, President and Chief Executive Officer, ING Life Thailand, stated, “We are very proud of all of our agents who have been recognized at this prestigious awards ceremony. They exemplify the true spirit of our customer centric strategy and serve as an example for all of our agents across Thailand to follow.”
