Experienced chefs and designers of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani swept awards from Thailand Chefs Competition at THAIFEX - World of Food Asia 2010, recently held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
Among the numerous contestants, chefs and designers from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani showed their expertise onstage and won a series of awards from the veteran food gurus. Chefs Den Sutthiprapha, Chef Saranyou La-ongpao and Chef Urit Noochuchue won gold medals from “live cake decorating, Thai fruits and berries”; Mr Prakorn Kulkaew took home the silver medal in “freestyle individual ice carving”; Mr Prakorn Kulkaew and Mr Thongsa Traiphothorn won silver medals from “freestyle team ice carving”; Mr Sakda Siriwatthaakul, Mr Suwannaphong Bud-dee and Mr Kritsakorn Khankaew won bronze medals from “fruit and vegetable carving on stage”; and Chef Nithit Muadsri won a bronze medal from “Italian pasta contest”.
The competition is one of the highlights at THAIFEX 2010 that closed on July 4, with more than 1,000 food and beverages exhibitors from around the world. The competition was divided into main categories including fruit and vegetable carving, ice carving, pastry, team cooking, individual cooking, and food and wine paring. The honorable judges were three food gurus which are Mr. Visoot Jeamsiriwattana, advisor to Thai Chefs’ Association, Mr. Rangsan Muman, Active Committee of Thai Chefs’ Association, Mr. Kurt Pozzato, veteran chefs judging food competitions all over Asia.
