Bangkok--19 Jul--Verve Amway for Thai Society Foundation and Amway Thailand are jointly bringing the ‘One by One: One Voice Brightens the World’ project of audio book production for visually-impaired children to its 7th year, this time with a concept of ‘Living with Joy’. Permission has been sought from nine publishers for this year’s production of 35 audio book titles while general individuals will be given the chance to contribute as readers, sharing the opportunity in education to visually-impaired people and schoolchildren in remote areas. Registration for an audio book reader’s training is now open until July 20. Mr. Kittawat Ritteerawee, General Manager of Amway (Thailand) Ltd. and a director of Amway for Thai Society Foundation, said: “The foundation is extending the success of our audio book project (was called the ‘One by One: One Voice Brightens the World) under ‘One by One: World of Wisdom’ campaign with this latest effort on the concept of ‘Living with Joy’. We expect to produce 10,500 CDs in DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) format out of 35 book titles from nine key publishers, namely, DMG Books, Amarin Printing and Publishing, Sataporn Books, Bee Media Group, Saengdao Publishing, Think Beyond Books, Busy-Day Publishing, Books2U, and Success Media. On behalf of Amway, I would like to express our gratitude to the writers and publishers for the copy permission given as support for the project to share learning opportunity to visually-impaired people and students in remote schools. The contribution will allow these educationally-deprived children to obtain the knowledge and wisdom that will enable them to grow and enjoy better quality of life.” “A concept of ‘Living with Joy’ was adopted as the title selection approach of this year’s audio book project,” he continued. “With this, we hope to give the listeners some great thoughts in leading a happy school, career, and personal life, which will bring about peace and harmony to the society at large. Some of the selected titles were Sabai Jai (pleasure), Yu Yen Pen Suk (peaceful and happy life), Kid Took Dub Tuk Dai (right mindset brings end to sufferings), Choke Dee (good luck), and Mee Suk (be happy) by Venerable Ajahn Mitsuo Gavesako; Kwam Suk Tee Rak (beloved happiness) by Paiwarin Khao-Ngam; Su Chiwit Kid Buak (face life with positive thoughts) by Aom Pranom; Kwam Suk Ngai Ngai Chiwit Sabai Sabai (easy happiness, easy-going life) by Wiraas Maneewat; The Answers (the answer for happy success) by Patima Champavieng; Nua Ajchariya Duay Kwam Kid Sangsan (CQ) (beyond genius with creativity quotient-CQ) by Verathian Khianmeesuk; Kwam Samrej Nai Chiwit Krai Kid Wa Yak (who believes successful life is difficult) by Khajadpai Burusphat; and Tam Ngan Bab Phu Chana (work like a winner) by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Charoenwongsak.” “This year, Amway for Thai Society Foundation and Amway Thailand also provide an opportunity for general individuals to become readers of the audio book project. By doing this, the readers can be happy and proud for their constructive contribution, in addition to benefits to the underprivileged people. Readers for this project are required to undergo a one-day reader’s skills training organized by the foundation. Interested individuals are invited to obtain more information and register for the training from today until July 20, 2010. Attendance is limited to 200 people only. After that, the trained volunteers can register to record their voice between August 2 — 6, 2010 on Amway Shopping website www.amwayshopping.com,” added Mr. Kittawat. From 2004 to 2009, the ‘One by One: One Voice Brightens the World’ project produced 172,800 cassette tapes and DAISY CDs of 194 titles and delivered them free of charge to visually-impaired children and youths nationwide via 150 relevant agencies and organizations.
