Bangkok Governor chairs the opening of Home Builder 2010 today. Themed under Trend & Beyond concept, Mr. Vibul, the Home Builder Association’s President, said the event, which will be held during this coming August 18 — 22 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center, would be golden opportunity to build homes before increasing interest rates, oil price as well as transportation and construction material costs push the prices up. With over 40 exhibitors, including home builders, construction material suppliers, financial institutions as well as property media, those who sign contracts on-site will stand a chance to win one of the big promotions, including four Nissan March and fifteen 32” LCD TVs, while visitors could enjoy a parade of leading stars and models, e.g. Bee Namthip, May Pitchanart, Yardthip Rajpal, Cheer Tikumporn and Marky Balenciaga. It is expected that this year event would generate onsite sale equivalent to last year.
Welcomed by Mr. Vibul Chantradilokrat, President of Home Builder Association, and the Association’s committee, M.R. Sukhumphan Boripat, Bangkok Governor, chairs the opening of Home Builder 2010 at Plenary Hall, QSNCC today. Themed under Trend & Beyond concept, the event will be held during this coming August 18 — 22 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center.
Mr.Vibul Chantradilokrat , President of the Home Builder Association,reveals that with over 40 exhibitors, including construction material suppliers, financial institutions, and property media, this year event, which has the highest number of exhibitors so far, is expected to be an important mechanism to stimulate the 2H10 market after it was considerably hit in 2Q10 by economic and political factors.
“This will be the best time to build homes since consumers will still get old prices before rising interest rates, oil price as well as transportation and construction material costs push the prices up late this year. Besides the Association’s own promotions, each exhibitor has also prepared special promotions, which will make it even more dynamic and appealing. As for sale target, we project that this year event would generate on-site sale equal to last year at 2,400 million Baht.” Mr. Vibul said.
The Home Builder 2010 is themed under Trend & Beyond concept to communicate novelty, modernity and variety of the home designs that each exhibitor will bring to the show, where all visitors could browse through all products and services with ease. In addition to home builders, they could also find modern construction materials as well as enjoy special financial services from five leading financial institutions, namely Siam Commercial Bank, Bank of Ayudhya, Kasikornbank, Bangkok Bank and Government Housing Bank.
Mr. Vibul further added that the home building market has been considerably hit by the political unrest in the 1H10. Sales were down, in general, so it is expected that the Home Builder 2010 would be able to help stimulate the market in the 2H10 in a sense that it could enhance consumer confidence. In the mean time, the Association has also prepared more promotions for this event than the last. With a promotion budget of 2 million Baht, all visitors who sign their agreements onsite will stand a chance to win one of the four Nissan March or one of the fifteen 32” LCD TVs, while those pre-registered through the Association’s www.hba-th.org website, will get an extra discount of up to 10,000 Baht, when they sign their home building agreement onsite, and stand a chance to win a Blackberry smart phone.
Talking about special activities, the Association will focus on activities related to consumer demand and behavior. In this regard, the Association’s Academic Affairs Department has set up a Home Builder Research Center to collect onsite consumer behavior data, from those planning to build their homes as well as those who have decided. Data collected will be used to improve and develop products offered by the Association’s members in the future. In addition to this, there will also be a home consulting corner, where visitors could receive complimentary consulting services from selected architectures and engineers, throughout the 5-day run event, as well as a New Home Design corner, where the latest collection of more than 100 housing designs by the Association’s members will be put on sale. To make it even more fun and dynamic, the event will also be attended by a parade of leading stars and models, e.g. Bee Namthip, May Pitchanart, Yardthip Rajpal, Cheer Tikumporn and Marky Balenciaga.
Home Building 2010 will be co-located with Home Buyer Expo, which is a consumer show for homes, condominiums and NPAs by Home Buyer Guide Magazine to be held during August 19 — 22 at Zone C, QSNCC. With such synergy, it is believed that this will be one of the largest consumer shows for real estate business in Thailand and that Home Builder 2010 will be even more dynamic with an approximate of 70,000 — 80,000 visitors.
