General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast to the active low-pressure cell in the middle South China Sea. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the East and the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity. People in risky areas of the North and the Northeast should beware of severe conditions. The moderate wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
The category 1 active low pressure cell in the middle South China Sea is likely to intensify as Category 2 tropical depression. It is expected to move ashore in southern Vietnam by 7 October and move west to the Gulf of Thailand by 8 October. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain will be forecast for the lower Northeast, the East, the Central and the South from 7-9 October.

Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
