Weather Forecast The monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East, and the lower Northeast throughout the period while during 6 ? 7 October high pressure areas will cover upper Thailand. In addition, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain is likely over the country with isolated heavy rain. During 6 - 9 Oct, the active low cell over the middle South China Sea is likely to intensify to the tropical depression, expected to move to the East, the upper Gulf and the upper portion of the South with isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the lower Northeast, the East, the Central, including Bangkok and vicinity and the upper South.
During 7 ? 10 Oct, the southwest monsoon will strengthen with the wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. Wave height is likely 2-4 meters in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, about 2 meters in the lower Gulf of Thailand and more than 4 meters in thundershower areas. After that this monsoon will weakening cause wind wave is weaken, too.
Warning People in the risk areas of Thailand should beware of severe conditions. All ships of the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower areas . Small boats should keep ashore during 7 ? 10 October.
