General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the lower Central, the upper South and the East. Meanwhile, the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the East and the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the South. People in risky areas of the Northeast, the East, the Central and the South should beware of severe conditions. The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf (from Nakhon Si Thammarat northward) are likely 2-4 meters high and more than 4 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
The category 1 active low pressure cell covers the upper South. It is expected will be moving through the upper South into the Andaman Sea today.
