The strong monsoon trough lies across the upper South and the East, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country with isolated heavy rains and strong wind possible in the East and the South. People in risky areas of the South should beware of the severe conditions. The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
A Category 3 (tropical storm) ?Nangka? in Tonkin Bay. It likely moves through Tonkin Bay into upper Vietnam on 14 October with increasing rainfall in the eastern and upper part of the Northeast.
