General Situation The strong monsoon trough lies across the lower Central, the upper South, and the East, associated with the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country with isolated heavy rains in the East and the South. People in risky areas of the South and the East should beware of the severe conditions. The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
At 01.00 a.m., a category 1 active low-pressure cell located over Heu Phan, Lao influence the eastern North and upper the Northeast of Thailand with increasing rainfall.
During 15-17 Oct, a catagory 1 active low-pressure cell over Philippines is expected to move to the middle South China Sea and upgrade to a catagory 2 tropical depression.

in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
