During 28 Oct - 2 Nov, another high pressure area from China will extend to cover upper Thailand while the category 5 (Typhoon) ?MOLAVE? over the middle South China Sea is expected to make landfall over middle Vietnam on 28 Oct. before weakening. Cool weather is likely over the upper country throughout the period associated with isolated heavy rain and strong wind are expected in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East during 28 ? 30 Oct.
For the South, the monsoon trough lies across the middle South including the southwesterly wind prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf will strengthen. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are likely in the South. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be stronger with 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
