General Situation Another strong high-pressure system from China has extended to cover southern China. It will cover upper Thailand from 8-12 January. Cool to cold weather and strong winds are likely over the area with decreasing temperatures by 5-7 C. People should in upper Thailand stay healthy due to variable weather.
The strengthening northeast monsoon will prevail over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rain in lower the South. The strong wind forces the waves up 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf of Thailand, 2-4 meters in the lower portion, more than 4 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.
