During 4-6 February, another moderate high pressure will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool to cold, 1-3C drop in temperature are likely over the upper North and the Northeast while morning cool with a slight drop in temperature is forecast in the rest region. The northeast monsoon over the Gulf and the South will strengthen forcing the rather strong waves about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf, above 2 meters in thundershowers. During 7-9 February, the westerly trough will move pass the North, the upper Northeast and the upper Central while the southerly and the southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the Gulf and the South China Sea to the lower Northeast, the lower Central ,the East including Bangkok and its vicinity. Meanwhile the high pressure will weaken with thunderstorms, gust and hail. After 10 February, the temperature will decrase by 2-4 C in the North and the Northeast while 1-3 C drop in temperature is forecast in the Central, the East including Bangkok Metropolis and its vicinity. The northeast monsoon prevail over the Gulf and the South will weaken together with the weak wind and waves in the lower Gulf.
Warning
During 7 - 9 February, people over upper Thailand should beware of thunderstorms wih gust and hail. Residents should keep off unsecured buildings and outdoor places. Farmers should prepare for crop damage.
