General Situation More rain over upper Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the Northeast and eastern part of the North are forecast. Including the southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand is strengthening with isolated heavy rains in the South. The strong winds force the waves in the Andaman Sea up to 2-4 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. The strong winds are likely in the upper Gulf of Thailand with waves about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. The lower Gulf, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and about 2 meters high in thundershowers. People should beware of the severe conditions. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
The depression over the upper Bay of Bengal is expected to develop into a cyclone storm by 24 May 2021. It will force the stronger southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf during 24 ? 29 May 2021.
