General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, upper North of Thailand and upper Vietnam while the southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand is intensifying. Isolated heavy rains will be likely over the upper North, the upper Northeast and the East regions. People in upper Thailand should beware of the severe condition and its accumulation.
The moderate wind in the upper Andaman Sea (from Phangnga northward) forces the waves up 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore. Meanwhile, tropical depression CEMPAKA over southern China approximately 150 kilometers east-northeast of Hanoi, Vietnam. This storm does not directly affect Thailand.
