General Situation 19 October 2022
The moderate high-pressure system covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool and 1-2 drop in temperature is likely in the moderate country. At the same time, the monsoon trough remains across the middle South of Thailand while an active low-pressure cell covers the upper Andaman Sea. Meanwhile, the southwesterly wind prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the South of Thailand is strengthening with continuous rainfalls and isolated torrential rains in the whole South. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the foothills near waterways and lowlands. The winds in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand becomes stronger, forcing the waves in the Gulf 1-2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high. The waves in the Andaman Sea are 2-3 meters, and in thundershowers above 3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
In addition, typhoon NESAT over the upper South China Sea was centered about 160 kilometers southeast of Hainan, China. It is expected to move through southern Hainan, China and will move to Tonkin Bay and upper Vietnam from 20-21 October. Meanwhile, the moderate high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea will force the storm to decline rapidly affecting the upper country isolated light rain.

Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy to very heavy rains
in Ranong, Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

Maximum temperature 27-30 C.
Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
