Weather Outlook From 11 - 17 Nov 2022
During 11 - 12 Nov, the high-pressure system covering upper Thailand will be weakening. Increase in temperature by 1-3 C are forecast in the upper country with fog and morning cool. The northeast monsoon and the easterly wind prevail over the Gulf, the south and the Andaman Sea. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough lies across the lower South of Thailand. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the lower south. During 13 - 17 Nov, the high-pressure system covering South China Sea makes the easterly and the southeasterly winds prevails and moist over the upper country. Thundershowers are likely in the upper country. The northeast monsoon and the easterly winds prevail over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough will move up to lie across the upper South while the low-pressure area over Malaysia will move into the Malaca strait and the Andaman Sea. More rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the upper south.
Caution
People in upper Thailand should be careful of their health due to variable weather throughout the period. During 11-17 Nov, people in the South should beware of severe condition and accumulated rains that may cause flash floods and surface runoff, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ship should proceed with cautions and avoid thundershowers.
