General Situation

The rather strong high-pressure system from China extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea while the westerly wind at high altitude prevails over the North. Cool to cold weather is likely in the North and the Northeast while morning cool is likely in the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the upper South regions. People should keep healthy due to the variable weather and beware of fire due to dry air and strong wind.
The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand, the South and the Andaman Sea. Isolated thundershowers are in the lower South. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. People along the Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution. Small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore lasting 26 December 2022.
