General Situation

High-pressure system remains over Thailand with cool to cold and morning light fog. Isolated thundershowers are in the South. People beware of weather changes and fire due to dry air. The northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea. The wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to about 2 meters high and in thundershowers above 2 meters. All ships should proceed with caution.
During 5 ? 8 January 2023, the low cell over the lower South China Sea is expected to intensify and move near the coast of Tip of Indochina while the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen. During 6 ? 8 December 2023, more rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain are forecast for the South. The strengthening wind force the waves up to 2 ? 4 meters high in the Gulf and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution, keep away thundershowers and small boats over the Gulf should keep ashore. Residents along the coast beware of inshore surges.

Nakhon Si Thammarat upwards : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and in thundershowers about 2 meters.
Songkhla downwards : Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and in thundershowers above 2 meters.
Southern (West Coast)
Partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers mostly in Krabi, Trang and Satun.
Minimum temperature 22-25 C.
Maximum temperature 32-34 C.
Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter, offshore above 1 meter and in thundershowers 1-2 meters.
