During 24 - 26 Jan 2023, another rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea with cool to cold weather and strong wind. The temperature will decrease by 4 - 6 C in the Northeast while 2 - 3 C drop in temperature in the North, the East, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the lower South. The wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. While the wind forces the waves in the upper Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the upper should take precaution of health from cold hazard and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air. People in the South should be caution of inshore surges. People in the South should beware of severe condition that may cause flash flood and overflows. All ships should proceed with caution in the thundershowers area. Small boat in the lower South should keep ashore.
