Weather Outlook During 15 - 21 March 2024
During 15 - 18 Mar, the heat low-pressure cell covers upper Thailand with hot to very hot and haze during the day. Meanwhile, the southerly and southeasterly winds prevail over the lower Northeast, the lower central and the East regions with isolated thundershowers. The easterly and southeasterly winds prevail over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers. During 19 ? 21 Mar, another moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea while the easterly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. Outbreak of summer storm are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail including lightning strike are likely in the upper country for the first period, after that temperature will drop . The easterly and southeasterly wind prevailing over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will strengthen with more rains. The strengthening wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 1 ? 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
