"Claiming the year of the dog" is the cute concept used for the "SmartHeart Presents Thailand International Dog Show 2018" held jointly by Impact Exhibition Management Co.,Ltd., Thai Pet Product Industries Association, The Kennel Association of Thailand, and Perfect Companion Group Co., Ltd. This year will be full of many new and interesting activities such as:

IMPACT has estimated that there will be a great leap of growth in the pet industry this year. Therefore, they have not hesitated in arranging the largest annual Dog Show in ASEAN to support the growing global market. It is expected that the show this year will attract more than 200,000 participants during the four-day event which is much higher than previous years.
Kunwadee Jintaworn, Executive Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. stated that "the Impact Company is going to create the best Dog Show in Thailand as an annual event. It will contain of all components to do with dog shows by being the largest event in ASEAN and on par with international standards. As this is the 17th year, the company has planned to enhance the event by including a stage for contests which is at the same level as international standards. This will develop the dog's full potential such as dog agility; so that they are capable of further compete at the world championship platforms. This is the first year for the dog's parade under the theme "Colorful Party". Hopefully this activity will bring more fun and liveliness to the event. There will also be other activities including grooming, health checks, dog vaccination, dog agility and intelligence contests. Moreover this year, all participants are also eligible to the chance of winning a sweepstake prize such as mobile phones, and golden dog pendants.
Apart from many exciting activities as mentioned above, there will also be many social action projects for abandoned pets such as "One Baht for the Hungry Doggy Project" which pet lovers can participate in being part of rehabilitating the abandoned pet's mental state. This is conducted with the help of organizations that care for disabled and stray dogs, and the company will also donate part of our revenue to various foundations to take care of abandoned pets and provide them with a better life.
Suteesak Pakdeeteva, Public Relations of the Kennel Association of Thailand added that for the "17th SmartHeart presents Thailand International Dog Show 2018 the Kennel Association of Thailand has organized dog contests for both Thai and international breeds. Over the past 17 years, all activities have been well received, with a continuous increase of participants who are interested in dog contests from both within and outside of Thailand every year. The dog contest we arrange is considered to be one of the greatest contests in ASEAN, and has the honor of holding the competition with a board of judges from overseas; this is for the purpose of achieving an international standard for the contests."
Nat Charanwattanakij, President of the Thai Pet Product Industries Association talked about the trend of keeping pets and consumer behavior today as: "In recent years, the pet industry has grown very fast. This is because the industry is far from saturation, and there is still potential for continuous growth. Pet keepers especially dogs, always have high purchasing power for products to do with making one's beloved dogs happy.
Therefore, this event is an opportunity for consumers to choose from a variety of products, with a lower price."
Supakij Asawachaiporn Vice President of Marketing at Perfect Companion Group Co., Ltd. also added that "in support of the launch of Smartheart Presents Thailand International Dog Show 2018, the company is not only aiming at reinforcing its leadership as Thailand's number one pet food brand, but the company also wishes to develop this contest into the largest dog show in Thailand. It is to be the largest, most complete, with an equivalent standard to international dog shows within ASEAN.
