“Diverse Ukraine” Art Exhibition

กรุงเทพฯ--25 มิ.ย.-- Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand holds the art exhibition under the theme of "Diverse Ukraine" with the aim of showing a variety of national art and culture through gorgeous artworks, reflecting the uniqueness of provinces in Ukraine. Ukraine is a country in Europe which is enriched by cultures and kind-hearted people. With its long history from the 9th century, it has unique and various identity. To allow everyone to have a chance to experience and learn art and culture of Ukraine, The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand promotes the organization of "Diverse Ukraine" Art Exhibition. In the exhibition, it is divided into 3 main sections. The first one is the gallery of national costume created by working groups from various profession led by Dominika Dyka, the stylist and creative designer of traditional national costumes. She designs new traditional attire based on evidence from old photographs in order to represent old cultures by using common people as models. These photographs of national costume are the cooperation of photographer team, stylists, makeup artists and promoterss with the passion of Ukraine. They intend to open the world of beauty and unique cultures of the country through fantastic national costumes which are iconic and different based on each province's culture. The second one is the gallery of "25 Sisters of the Independence" by the sisters, Tetyana and Natalya from Katrychenko family, who create dolls wearing native costumes representing 24 provinces in Ukraine and 1 Autonomous Republic of Crimea. All works had been made from 2015 to 2016. All skills of embroidery were applied to native costumes of each doll and stitches are various. Each doll has its own uniqueness with different histories, representing diversity and attractiveness of traditional cultures for a period of decades in Ukraine. The last one is the gallery of local costumes for a period of over 100 years, which comes from SpadokEthno Gallery in Ukraine. It is the personal collection of Demkuras family. The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand and The Queen's Gallery would like to invite you to visit "Diverse Ukraine" Art Exhibition in order to learn diverse cultures of Ukraine through art and national cultures. It will be held from May 28 to July 1, 2018, daily open from 10.00-19.00 hrs., except Wednesday, at The Queen's Gallery (Ratchadamnoen klang road ).
