Discover an authentic taste of Indonesia this October (without the 4-hour flight from Bangkok) as The World restaurant hosts a special 11-day Indonesian-themed buffet.
Running from 18 – 28 October 2018, The World is excited to welcome Indonesian culinary experts, Chef Wiyono and Chef Fatkhul. The pair will be showcasing the two most well-known cooking styles found in their homeland, namely 'Java' and 'Padang' cuisine.
Java, an island which sits in between Sumatra and Bali, is Indonesia's most populated and also home to the capital, Jakarta. When it comes to Javanese food, you can expect slightly milder, more simple flavors with plenty of sweet vegetable-based dishes.
Padang cuisine, originating from the island of Sumatra, promises bolder flavors – with plenty of heavier famous Indonesian curries using a coconut milk as a base and a fiery kick from chili and other spices.
This exotic all-you-can-eat Indonesian buffet is priced at THB 850++ (lunch, food only) and THB 1,490++ (dinner, inclusive of food and beverage package). A special Indonesian-themed Sunday brunch is also available at THB 1,890++ (food and beverage package).
