ด้วยวันที่ ๖ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๖ เป็นวันครบรอบ ๕๖ ปี แห่งการประกาศเอกราช และถือเป็นวันชาติของสาธารณรัฐกานา ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศกานา ดังนี้
