ในโอกาสวันครบรอบ ๕๐ ปี แห่งการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-เอธิโอเปีย เมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ เม.ย. ๒๕๕๗ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดีเอธิโอเปีย และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเอธิโอเปีย ดังนี้

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia that fell on 10 April 2014, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to the people of Ethiopia, our warmest felicitations and best wishes from the Government and the people of Thailand.
For the past 5 decades, our countries' relations have been marked by amity, increasing cooperation and mutual understanding. These characteristics form essential elements to ensure a boarder, closer and stronger basis of our future cooperation in all aspects. I am particularly optimistic that the future will usher in a new era of cooperation between our two countries and peoples in all areas.

๒. สารจากรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเอธิโอเปีย
As the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Ethopia reaches its 50th Anniversary on 10 April this year, I am pleased to extend, on behalf of the people of Thailand and on my own behalf, our warmest felicitations and best wishes to you. It is my belief the the cordial ties between our two countries have been constantly strengthend in the past years by bilateral, as well as multilateral, activities. I also have no doubt that it will continue to grow in the years to come.
Thailand continues to stand by its commitment and goodwill toward Ethiopia and her people. I look forward to working closely with you to further strengthen the aforementioned ties for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples.
