เนื่องในวันที่ ๑๘ ธันวาคม เป็นวันชาติของรัฐกาตาร์ พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี และพลเอกธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ดังนี้

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I wish to express my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency and, through you, to the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar.
As 2015 will mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Qatar, I also take this opportunity to reaffirm the Royal Thai Government’s commitment to strengthen further the cordial ties of friendship and close cooperation between our two countries and peoples in all areas of mutual interest.
