ตามที่คณะกรรมการกลางการเลือกตั้งสาธารณรัฐอุซบกิสถานได้จัดการเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดีเมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๘ และได้ประกาศผลอย่างเป็งการเมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๘ ว่า นาย Islam Karimov ประธานาธิบดีได้รับการเลือกกซ้ำเป็นสมัยที่ ๔ พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี จึงได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีต่อประธานาธิบดีอุซเบกิสถาน ดังนี้
On the occassion of your resounding victory in the Presidential Election of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I have the honour to convey to Your Excellency , on behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, my warmest congratulations and best wishes.
I am confident that, with Your Excellency's extensive experience and great leadership, the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue to play an active and constructive role in regional and international fora.
