ตามที่มีเหตุเพลิงไหม้มหาวิหารโนเทรอดามแห่งปารีส ที่กรุงปาริส สาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส เมื่อคืนวันที่ ๑๕ เมษายน ๒๕๖๒
พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารถึงนายเอดัวร์ ฟิลิป นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส และนายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารถึงนายฌอง-อีฟว์ เลอ ดริยอง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกิจการยุโรปและการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส ดังนี้

Excellency,
Joining the world in expressing shock and sadness over the massive fire that caused extensive damage to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday, I wish to express my heartfelt sympathies to the French Government and her people for such a heartbreaking incident. The Notre Dame Cathedral is not only a pride of the French people. Indeed, it has been an icon of architectural and artistic excellence and an inspiration to mankind.
I am very much confident in the efforts of the French Government to restore the Notre Dame Cathedral to its original magnificence, and the Government and the people of Thailand are solidly behind you as France is moving along that path.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

Excellency,
I am saddened by the devastating fire which ravaged part of the Notre Dame Cathedral. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of France for such an enormous loss to the one of the world’s most treasured architectural legacies.
I am certain that with the strong resolve of the French Government, the Notre Dame Cathedral will be restored to the original beauty and splendor in a short while.
