สารแสดงความเสียใจของนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ต่อการถึงแก่อสัญกรรมของอดีตประธานาธิบดีคิม แด-จุง

เมื่อวันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2552 นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรีได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนายอี มยอง-บัก (Mr. Lee Myung-bak) ประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ต่อการถึงแก่อสัญกรรมของนายคิม แด-จุง อดีตประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ดังนี้

Excellency,

I was saddened to learn of the passing away of His Excellency Mr. Kim Dae-jung, former President of the Republic of Korea, on 18 August 2009.

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the people of the Republic of Korea and to President Kim’s bereaved family for their loss. President Kim’s tireless devotion to peace and democracy throughout his lifetime, which ultimately led to the Nobel Peace Prize in 2000, remains as his legacy to the Korean people and will serve as an inspiration to others for years to come.

Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
