ทริสเรทติ้งเห็นว่าการเสนอขายหุ้นสามัญเพิ่มทุนจำนวน 57 ล้านหุ้นของ บริษัท ศรีสวัสดิ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) ให้แก่ Cathay Financial Holding Co., Ltd. (CFH) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทโฮลดิ้งทางด้านการเงินมีสำนักงานใหญ่ในไต้หวัน ยังไม่มีผลต่ออันดับเครดิตของบริษัท
เมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน 2561 บริษัทศรีสวัสดิ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น ได้แจ้งว่าคณะกรรมการของบริษัทมีมติให้เสนอที่ประชุมวิสามัญผู้ถือหุ้น (ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 16 พฤศจิกายน 2561) เพื่อพิจารณาอนุมัติจัดสรรหุ้นสามัญจำนวน 57 ล้านหุ้น มูลค่าที่ตราไว้หุ้นละ 1 บาท ในราคาเสนอขาย 45 บาทต่อหุ้น รวมเป็นมูลค่า 2,565 ล้านบาท ให้แก่ CFH หรือบริษัทในเครือของ CFH
ปัจจุบัน CFH ถือหุ้นบริษัทศรีสวัสดิ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น ในสัดส่วน 4.99% และภายหลังจากการจัดสรรหุ้นเพิ่มทุนและจดทะเบียนเพิ่มทุนชำระแล้ว CFH จะถือหุ้นในสัดส่วนเพิ่มเป็น 9.49% ของทุนจดทะเบียน และมีสิทธิเสนอชื่อกรรมการบริษัทได้ 1 ท่าน
ทริสเรทติ้งเห็นว่าข้อตกลงที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นนี้ไม่มีผลกระทบต่ออันดับเครดิตของบริษัทศรีสวัสดิ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น เนื่องจากทุนที่จะเพิ่มขึ้นจาก CFH ไม่มีผลกระทบอย่างมีนัยสำคัญต่อผลประกอบการทางการเงินของบริษัท ในทางธุรกิจ ข้อตกลงดังกล่าวอาจจะเป็นประโยชน์แก่บริษัท ทั้งในแง่ของการเป็นพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจและประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานในอนาคต
