Bangkok Prep appoints new Head of School and Head of Primary

Bangkok--2 Sep--BrandNowAsia Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep) introduced Valerie Thomas-Peter as the new Head of School and Duncan James Stonehouse as Head of Primary. Valerie Thomas-Peter, from the United Kingdom, started her career in teaching in York before leading and managing a range of independent and international schools. She was the Head of School in the British School of Boston in USA, Principal of The British International School, Shanghai, Principal of Dubai British School in UAE, and most recently, Director of School of The Alice Smith School in Malaysia. Valerie holds a Master’s degree in Education Studies from the University of Leeds UK. She is married with two children, Daniel (31), a graphic designer and Matthew (26), a teacher of modern foreign languages. Duncan James Stonehouse holds a Master’s degree in Education and obtained the National Professional Qualification for Headship at the National College for School Leadership from the United Kingdom. He taught for several years in several schools in Gloucestershire, UK before being appointed as the Assistant Primary Head teacher at the British School of AL Khubairat, UAE, which he recently left to join Bangkok Prep. He lives in Thailand with his wife and their three children, 2 daughters and 1 son who are attending Bangkok Prep and are in Year 1, 3 and 5.
