Miss Wandee Khunchornyakong Chairperson & CEO SPCG Public Company Limited revealed that regarding Ministry of Energy analysis, Thailand have tendency to face critical energy shortage within 7-10 years ahead when it is expected that Natural Gas in Thai Gulf may be finished. This situation will surely give an impact on Thailand’s necessity to import the natural gas from abroad which is twice as much the price than the internal product of natural gas. Due to the fact that at present, Thailand have to rely on the Importability of Crude Oil, Coal and Energy from abroad which are all limited & uncontrollable both in the Price and the amount. In order to conform with the Current Government’s Policy leading by H.E. Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-Ocha who looks through the tendency of these National Energy Crisis, the Government have issued the Long Run National Energy Defense in order to reduce the energy import from abroad by permitting & encouraging Thais people to participate in producing their own “Solar Power” by attaching “Solar Cell” on the rooftop of their houses. Moreover, The Government have designated Electricity Authority of Thailand to buy electricity produced by “ Solar Power System” from general people as well, on the condition as follows :
1. Produce Electricity within 10 kilowatt buying rate = 6.85 Baht / unit
2. Produce Electricity within 10 – 250 Kilowatt buying rate = 6.40 Baht / unit
3. Produce Electricity within 250 – 1,000 Kilowatt buying rate = 6.01 Baht / unit
This Solar Power System which produce electricity through solar cell is called
