Cape and Kantary Hotels Organizes Roti-Saimai Championship 2014

Bangkok--30 Oct--Cape and Kantary Hotels Cape and Kantary Hotels, in cooperation with Robinson Department Store, presented the Cape and Kantary Hotels’ Roti-Saimai Championship 2014, held within Robinson Department Store in Ayutthaya Park Shopping Centre. The speed cooking contest featured six squads in furious competition as crowds of Roti-Saimai aficionados cheered on their favorite teams. The participating contestants all hailed from acclaimed Roti-Saimai shops in Ayutthaya province; the Fatiha Shop, the Bangmad Shop, the Bangpae Shop, the Maechoosi Shop, the Bangimron Shop and the Suthasini Shop all brought their finest utensils and techniques to the competition, dazzling the spectators with their skill and speed. In addition to the competition, a handmade noodle demonstration by Classic Kameo Hotel’s Tapestry Restaurant; kiosks featuring goods from Café Kantary and Cuizimate, and games featuring hotel gift vouchers as prizes were also available for spectators to enjoy. “Cape and Kantary Hotels Roti-Saimai Championship 2014 was the first Roti-Saimai competition that Cape and Kantary Hotels has organized, and we greatly appreciate the support from Robinson Department Store, Ayutthaya Park. The winner of the Cape and Kantary Hotels Roti-Saimai Championship 2014 was Team Bangmad, who produced 82 Roti-Saimai units in only 7 minutes. Former Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Governor Dr. Wittaya Piewpong was on hand to present the trophy and Baht 50,000 prize money to the winner. The Cape and Kantary Hotels Roti-Saimai Championship 2014 was a successful event that created happiness among local residents and showcased one of Ayutthaya province’s unique cultural delicacies.
