To celebrate what we call Hard Rock Founder's Day, Hard Rock Hotel & Café Pattaya participated in many initiatives to help to local community and make it a better place to live. Celebrations started on 12th June with the Potato concert, one of the hottest Thai rock bands around, playing live at The Hard Rock Café. Check-out our facebook page for more photos of the concert. Then on 16th June, the Hard Rock team went to Huay Yai Primary School for 'ROCK THE LUNCH' - This project was initiated by Hard Rock Pattaya in 2011. Rock The Lunch takes place on a monthly basis, we visit selected schools that have a limited budget for children's meals and so we prepare and serve them lunch. Our own rockers put on some entertainment and the children all have fun and leave energized. On the 17th June, the team gathered to do some cleaning around the hotel, and later on, they had their own party with 70s sounds, the legendary Burger Eating Competition, and lots of fun. On the 18th June, when we 'ROCK THE FOREST' - by planting 100 Hairy-Leafed Apitong or Yang Na trees in Khao Chee Aon Wildlife Conservation Zone in Sattahip District, an effort to reforest and rehabilitate this wasteland. This project was initiated 2 years ago and now we have a maintenance schedule for visiting the forest every 3 months or so for up-keeping. We keep the forest clean and natural, get rid of the weeds, replant saplings if required. We will continue to make periodic trips to this 6,400 sqm of land to ensure it remains in a healthy condition. 'To keep our forest in a healthy condition, we need to continually plant more trees so the forest is full and a good habitat for the animals. We need to check and nourish the tree's with fertilizer and uproot the weeds. This work is done on a regular basis. So we thank you, Hard Rock Pattaya for the support and help with this work, for our community and for the lives in forest.' A thank you note from Chief of Khao Chi-on Non Hunting Area. Hard Rock has at its core a strong sense of responsibility to its community and the people that it neighbors. It provides us with an additional reason to be, and we thank all of Hard Rock Pattaya' s friends, partners and customers for their continued help and support.
