French national, Chef Jerome is a creative chef who has worked in some of the world's top kitchens and exclusive hotels. He began his culinary journey as apprentice to Michelin star chef, Georges Paccard at his restaurant, La Ciboulette in Annecy, France. He was also Chef de Partie in the Department of the French Prime Minister where he created the daily menus for the prime minister and his cabinet. A gifted and experienced chef with an extraordinary knowledge of classic and contemporary French cuisine, Chef Jerome ensures dining at L'Appart is a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience. Over the past year at L'Appart, Chef Jerome has delighted diners with an exceptional new menu, as well as hosting special gourmet evenings inspired by premium produce from the renowned Royal Project, created enticing dishes to compliment French wines at 'Sofitel Wine Days' events, and worked alongside guest Michelin star chefs such as Patrick Jeffroy and Herve Rodriquez.
The World Luxury Restaurant Awards™ were created to inspire excellence and ignite healthy competition in the Luxury Restaurant Industry. Restaurants can compete in their chosen category, from a list of 78 categories. Selection criteria includes interior design that reflects a stylish atmosphere, a high standard of haute cuisine with excellent presentation and attention to detail, and excellent service reviews. Voting is based on the food experience as a whole, combined with aspects of service excellence, presentation, quality, and menu choices. Votes are from mainly from guests, but also from industry professionals.

The first annual World Luxury Restaurant Awards™ was held at the magnificent Grand Kronenhof Hotel, Pontresina, Switzerland on Saturday 18 June, 2016. Representatives of luxury restaurants from 38 countries arrived to a grand red carpet welcome with Champagne from Veuve Cliquot, in anticipation of receiving an award at the special black tie gala event, which was opened by Kiki Maeder, TV and radio presenter for the Swiss national broadcaster Schweizer Radio and Fernsehen.
