The Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province, together with the Yunnan Overseas Friendship Association, recently hosted the classic cars road trip in Yunnan to celebrate the 20thanniversary of Hong Kong's return to China and to promote friendship and business between mainland China and Hong Kong. The event was undertaken by Xinhua Finance Agency and sponsored by the Classic Car Club of Hong Kong and Yunnan Business Office in Hong Kong.
The event brought together the classic cars owned by the members of the Classic Car Club of Hong Kong as well as media agencies from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Thailand. The classic cars started their journey from the city of Lijiang to Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, where the participants could enjoy their road trip which is surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of the famous plateau, Shangri-La.
The fleet of classic cars and carriers from the Hong Kong's club members included the vintage cars from famous brands such as Jaguar, MG, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche.
