TCEB has brought up Thailand's MICE to international standards, and strengthened the industry by providing assurance to the global marketplace that Thailand is ready to host international-standard events by awarding the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard 2018-2020 (AMVS), which has been developed from the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) award. To win an AMVS, 3 criteria are considered, including; 'Physical Setting' criteria with 32 indicators checked, 'Technology' criteria with 10 indicators checked and 'Services' criteria with 13 indicators checked.
Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld is one of among five hotels that have gained the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard 2018-2020 as well as the latest Thailand MICE Venue Standard in Exhibition Venue (Type 2; minimum function room area 1,000 square meters) 2018 – 2020 award category which went to Bangkok Convention Centre A1 and Bangkok Convention Centre A2.
