General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the northern and the upper northeastern of Thailand, Laos PDR and upper Vietnam to the low pressure over the Gulf of Tonkin. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain is likely over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in East and the South. People in Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong and Phang-nga should beware of heavy rain.
The strong wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore until 13 July.
Tropical Strom “LINFA” over the Philippines is expected to move to Taiwan. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The storm does not have a significant impact on Thailand.
