During 18-21 Dec, the strong high pressure area from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea with dropping in temperature by 3-5 C and strong winds. The northeast monsoon prevails the lower Gulf and the South will strengthen and causes more rain and isolated heavy rains in the lower South with the wind waves 2-4 meters high in the Gulf. During 22-24 Dec, the high pressure area from China will weakening cause rising in temperature but these areas is continuously cold weather.
Tropical strom “KAI-TAK” covers the central of South China Sea. During 20-21 Dec, it will move to the lower of South China Sea. Expected during 22-24 Dec, it will downgrade to tropical depression and active low pressure and move pass Malaysia and lower south of Thailand. More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the lower South.
Warning
During 18-21 Dec, People in the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surge. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf should keep ashore. People in upper Thailand should keep healthy.
During 22-24 Dec, People in the lower South should beware of sever condition. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution, and small boats should keep ashore.
Northern Part
During 18-22 Dec, cool to cold, dropping by 3-5 C and strong wind.
