ตามที่สาธารณรัฐเซอร์เบียได้ประสบอุทกภัยครั้งรุนแรง ทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตกว่า 30 คน และประชาชนกว่าหมื่นคนต้องอพยพจากพื้นที่เสี่ยงภัย นายนิวัฒน์ธำรง บุญทรงไพศาล รักษาการนายกรัฐมนตรี และนายพงษ์เทพ เทพกาญจนา รองนายกรัฐมนตรี รักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีเซอร์เบีย และรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเซอร์เบีย ดังนี้

I have learned with great concern of the recent flash flooding caused by torrential rains in many regions of the Republic of Serbia that had caused extensive damage and a significant loss of lives.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, and through you, to all those who were affected by this natural disaster. I sincerely hope that your country will recover quickly and fully from this period of difficulty.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the severe floods which have inflicted significant loss of lives and widespread damage in many parts of the Republic of Serbia.
I would like to convey to Your Excellency and, through you, to all those who have suffered great loss from this natural disaster, our profound condolences and sympathy. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
