ตามที่นายกรัฐมนตรีไอร์แลนด์ได้ปรับคณะรัฐมนตรีและแต่งตั้งให้นาย Charles Flanagan ดำรงตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศไอร์แลนด์นั้น นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว ปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ รักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศไอร์แลนด์ ดังนี้

I have the honour to extend my sincere congratulations and warmest felicitations on the occasion of your recent appointment to the position of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland.

As we approach the 40th Anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Ireland next year, I am certain that you will contribute significantly to increasing the dynamism of our bilateral relations, especially in the areas of trade, investment and education cooperation. In this connection, the planned opening of an Irish Embassy in Bangkok will very much facilitate our future efforts to work for the mutual benefit of our nations and peoples. Please be assured of Thailand’s full cooperation.
