ไทยมอบข้าวเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยในฟิลิปปินส์และมาเลเซีย

เมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๗ คณะรัฐมนตรีได้มีมติอนุมัติการมอบข้าวแก่ฟิลิปปินส์และมาเลเซีย ประเทศละ ๕๐๐ ตัน เพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยในฟิลิปปินส์และมาเลเซีย จากกรณีพายุไต้ฝุ่น Hagupit เข้าพัดถล่มประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ เมื่อวันที่ ๖ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๗ และกรณีเหตุอุทกภัยครั้งใหญ่ในรัฐทางตอนเหนือของมาเลเซีย ตั้งแต่วันที่ ๑๖ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๗ ตามลำดับ โดยนายกรัฐมนตรีได้มีข้อความสารถึงประธานาธิบดีฟิลิปปินส์ และนายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซีย ดังนี้

๑. ข้อความสารจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงประธานาธิบดีฟิลิปปินส์

Further to my earlier message to Your Excellency on damages caused by typhoon Hagupit, I wish to inform Your Excellency that as a token of friendship, the Thai Cabinet approved today the donation of 500 tons of rice to the Philippines as part of Thailand’s contribution to the relief operation on the ground.

I have instructed the agencies concerned to ship the said donation to the Philippines as soon as possible. Once again, I would also like to reassure Your Excellency that Thailand stands ready to render support to the Philippines should there be any further assistance needed. We wish the Philippines speedy and full recovery.

Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

๒. ข้อความสารจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซีย

Further to my earlier message to you on the flood situation in the northern part of Malaysia, I have the honour to inform you that the Thai Cabinet today approved the donation of 500 tons of Thai rice to the Government of Malaysia as part of our contribution to the ongoing relief operation.

I have instructed the government agencies concerned to coordinate with the Malaysian authorities to transport and hand over the said donation to Malaysia as soon as possible.

Thailand puts emphasis on extending assistance to our friends and neighbours, particularly within ASEAN, in response to natural disaster. We stand ready to extend further assistance to Malaysia wherever possible. Once again, I sincerely wish Malaysia a speedy recovery from this adversity.
