Recently Mr. Wittawat Svasti-Xuto, PTT Plc Executive Vice President for International Trading, and Mr. Azhar Ahmad, Head Commercial (Methanol), Petronas Chemicals Marketing Sdn Bhd, signed a methanol sales agreement for 24,000 metric tons worth some 300 million baht, with delivery from February 2012 to January 2013. This transaction meant PTT would import methanol to extend its domestic commercial utilization by leveraging it in the solvent industry and methyl ester (B-100), a main raw material for biodiesel production by PTT Group, while going green to improve the quality of life for all sectors in a sustainable way.
