Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and the National Olympic Committee of Thailand (NOCT) sign a memorandum of understanding to support Thai athletes at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Attending the signing ceremony were NOCT Vice President and Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Charouck Arirachakaran, NOCT Vice President Prof. Charoen Wattanasin, SCB Executive Vice President and Head of Credit Card and Personal Loan Division Araya Phuphanich, and SCB Credit Card Products Manager Suripong Tantiyanon.
To boost the morale of Thai athletes joining the London 2012 Olympic Games, SCB will award Thai medalists with 1 million baht per medal for gold medalists, 500,000 baht per medal for silver medalists, and 300,000 baht per medal for bronze medalists. The support is to encourage Thai athletes' commitment to serious training, success, and Thailand's fame in the international sports arena.
