Bangkok--21 May--Krungthai Card KTC and JCB celebrate the immense success of the joint credit card after only five years in Thailand. A promotional campaign is launched with an expense of 10 Million Baht to thank members of Japanese lifestyles with five times the KTC Forever Rewards points when spending with a KTC-JCB credit card at leading Japanese restaurants with three times the rewards points at participating travel agencies, supermarkets and gas stations. Offers are valid from June 1st until December 31st, 2012. The firms expect to attract 20,000 more members and to bring spending up by 50% by the end of the campaign. Mr. Woravut Nisapakulthorn, Executive Vice President - Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “KTC and JCB International, a world-class payment system network provider, have jointly introduced the first “KTC-JCB credit card” in Thailand in early 2008 targeting Thai customers who are appreciative of Japanese products and services, as well as traveling to Japan and of course Japanese businessmen in Thailand. We currently have over 40,000 KTC-JCB credit card holders with varying lifestyles but an average spending per person at 13,000 Baht per month which is higher than the portfolio’s total spending amount at 5,000-6,000 Baht. High spending areas include gas stations, department stores and communication devices. This is a proof of the potential and the unique position of this group of members. Therefore, for this year 2012, we are working with JCB to offer a promotional campaign that better corresponds to the Japanese lifestyle of these members. We are bringing this to our members with a marketing expense of 10 Million Baht.” Members are entitled to five times the KTC Forever Rewards points when spending with a KTC-JCB credit card at the following Japanese restaurants: Cocoichibanya, Torajiro, Oishi Grand, Oishi Buffet, Oishi Express, Oishi Ramen, Shabushi, Nippon Tei, Fuji, Aka, Zen, AOI, Sushicyu & Carnival, Unagi Nakamura, Suikin, Nagiya, Kishin, Isshin, Tensui, Nanjya Monjya, Yoshimune, Gyu Kaku and Nanohana. Additionally, three times the KTC Forever Rewards points are offered to members spending with a KTC-JCB credit card at H.I.S and JTB travel agencies and at the leading supermarkets such as Villa Market, Tops Super, Tops Daily, Tops Market, Central Food Hall, Gourmet Market, Home Fresh Mart, UFM Fuji, Max Value, Jusco and Tokyu.
