Bangkok--6 Jun--Aberdeen
Aberdeen recommended investors to invest in “Aberdeen Emerging Opportunities Bond Fund (AEOB)” which mainly invests in Emerging Market Debt (EMD) during May 2012 which resulted in higher Net Asset Value of THB 240.17 million. The Net Asset Value as of May 31, 2012 is THB 860.41 million compared to THB 620.24 million as of April 30, 2012.
Mr. Pongtharin Sapayanon, Head of Fixed Income-Thailand, Aberdeen Asset Management stated “Emerging Market debt should benefit on the back of a benign outlook for US Treasuries, which will prompt further inflows into the asset class in search of higher yields. Despite on-going concerns about Spain and Greece, looking ahead, an improving global growth outlook and easing concerns about a slowdown in China should also be supportive for emerging market debt.”
Aberdeen Emerging Opportunities Bond Fund (AEOB) has been registered since July 19, 2007 with the investment policy to mainly invest in units of a foreign fund, Aberdeen Global- Select Emerging Markets Bond Fund (Master Fund), at least 80% of its NAV in any accounting period. The rest will be invested in securities or other assets approved by the SEC as the fund manager deems appropriate for the benefits of unitholders.
